“In each of us there is a longing for the Spiritual.”  Because we are not simply body and soul, there is an awareness, a sense of need for something else, someone beyond ourselves.  Many times we become aware of this when we finally come up against something we cannot control.  What we cannot do, God can by His Spirit.  Together we try to help one another in following God’s Spirit.  This is our main goal.


                       

The Presbyterian Men‟s group will meet for breakfast on Saturday, September 11 at 8:00 am. All men of the church are welcome to join us.    

I.    Serve God’s church by:
        a.  Seeking out projects that address the needs of individual church members with physical restrictions or other special needs
         b.  Contributing to the maintenance of the church grounds, plant and equipment 
         c.  Providing manpower from our members for projects within our denomination but outside of the First Presbyterian Church of Derby

II.   Serve God’s Kingdom by:
       a.  Planning and organizing at least two activities per year for the betterment  
of persons and/or communities outside our denomination This may be at the local, state, national or international level.  One project per year will be within the greater Wichita area
        b.  Activities include work projects, fund raisers for mission causes and educating the public on important topics.

IIII.  Facilitate spiritual growth of group members by:
       a.  Study of the scriptures - Structure and presentation to be determined by the membership
       b.  Attending seminars and rallies for Christian men
